Q: Macbook Pro and Air not recognizing additional monitor when plugged in.

Neither of my computers had an issue recognizing my TV as an additional display/monitor a few weeks ago. Is this due to the newest updates and if so, when will it be fixed? And if not, what am I doing wrong?

MacBook Pro, iOS 8.2
