Q: How do I convert .Avi files to a Video_Ts folder on a mac?

I have several AVI files I want to put on a DVD. If I drop them directly as AVI files the quality is terrible. I want to compile them into a video_Ts folder to burn on an application. Is there any way to do this safety?

Also I have sued Toast before and saving at as a disc image does the exact same thing and burns as AVI

Any help appreciated. Thanks

ConfusedI about your objectives. Are you trying to make a DVD that will play in a DVD player?  Is your question related to Final Cut Pro?

A disk image is just a disk-based copy of your AVI files.

You are trying to author a DVD. You can do that at a amiss level with FCP but your AVI files may not come into FCP easily. Toast has elementary authoring capabilities.
