Health app on iPhone 5c won't log stats.. How do I start the stats?

I have the health app that was downloaded with iOS 8, but cant seem to get the stats started. Have tried closing the app as well as full phone restart. Please help!!

The iPhone 5C does not have a motion co-processor. It won't count steps or distance the way an iPhone 5S or later will. If you have an activity tracker that syncs with Health, such as an UP by Jawbone, Withings Pulse or a Garmin Vivofit or Vivosmart, you can use those as sources.
