Set an appointment to meet a genius at the nearest apple store, they will most likely swap it out issue free. Make sure you backup your device before heading to the apple store. Cheers!
Same phone, same update and same issue...
same issue dont know what to do
After updating to 8.2 i am facing clearity issues on back camera the most.
I am also noticing dots and poor low light performance.
In apple servive store they said its a hardware issue but i am seen this after 8.2 only.
So what i should do?? Reply Fast!!
Try this: switch to Android. I'll do it.
Same issue here, same phone, happened right after the 8.2 update. I'm taking it into Apple store today to have them look at it. If I remember to, I'll post back here once I find out more.
I have the same issue. Although I am not sure when the blurriness started after 8.2, but now the camera is not focusing and, on top of that, I have a black blurry spot on the camera. Prior to 8.2, the camera worked flawlessly.
Things are getting even better: in the last two days, if I try to launch the camera from the lockscreen, it launches but in few seconds it turns completely black. On top of that, the Apple's customer center, by online chatting, said they haven't collected any complaint about camera issues after the update. Lucky me!
Ipad Mini and iPad Mini 2 seems both not suffering this issue (although their camera is awful per se).
You may wish to get an appointment at an Apple store. I called tech support and they said they have been getting complaints about the blurry camera. They had me do a few fix-alls like reseting some settings... and although they misguided me into deleting my entire phone settings, they finally decided I needed to see a tech in person.
I went into the Apple store and it took them roughly 20-30 minutes to replace the lens, free of charge.
I believe the bill would have been $59 or something in that neighborhood but it was covered under some hardware guarantee.
Working fine now. Doesn't appear to have been related to the update.
thanks. I'll go to an Apple Store nearby in the next days and give it a try.
