Model Number and EMC

I bought a skin for my macbook air. The seller asked for the model number and EMC. Is this okay information to give out?

MacBook Air (11-inch, Early 2014)

The model identifier should be all that is needed...go to the apple at the left side of the menu bar, About This Mac, System Report, Hardware, Model Identifier which will be MacBook Air with a number...that should be adequate.

Giving the model number is fine.Not the serial number. If you told them it's a 2014 and a 11 inch, that should be enough.
