I changed my passwords in Users and Groups Preferences, and thought i typed it in correctly, especially when I did it again to Varify it...it worked...But now, it won't take the password in my admin window?
I have changed my iCloud account to match, and that is working fine...I did sort of assume they we're linked...How do i fix, or retrieve my admin password?

Forgot Your Account Password
For Lion, Mountain Lion, or Mavericks
Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
When the menubar appears select Terminal from the Utilities menu.
Enter resetpassword at the prompt and press RETURN. Follow
instructions in the dialog window that will appear.

OS X Mavericks: Reset a login password
If you are unable to reset your password with the methods from the guide, you may reset a password with the following steps.
1. Power on your computer holding down the Command and R keys. This will allow you to access OS X Recovery.
2. Select Utilities at the top bar and then Terminal.
3. In the Terminal window, type resetpassword and the password reset tool will appear.
4. Select your hard drive and user account. Enter a new password, verify the password, and save.
5. Restart your computer and sign into your account with the new credentials. You may receive a prompt update your keychain password. Since you do not know your password, select Create New Keychain.
