Problems with chat
For reasons unbeknownst to me, when I receive messages on my iPad, the senses are ALL identified or shown from a phone numberinstead of their name(s). What the What????

I understand that you are not seeing relevant contact information when receiving messages on your iPad. Are you using an iCloud account on both devices? Have you confirmed that contact syncing is turned on? The following article may help you find a resolution:

Turn on Contacts and update your device
- Tap Settings > iCloud on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch and make sure that Contacts is on.
- Install the latest version of iOS that's supported by your device.
