How to remove Apple Watch icon?
I just installed an update on my iPhone and now I have this Apple Watch icon on my home screen. And it messes up my layout. How do I remove it?

You don't. Just like the other included apps, it cannot be removed.

You might try doing what I do--move all unwanted apps into a folder and then move folder to last screen of apps. Out of sight, out of mind!
Your stuck with it. Thanks Apple for the Cramware.
Make sure the watch icon is on the same screen as the 'extras' icon
hold your finger on the icon until all your icons start wiggling
drag the icon onto the extra's icon and it will disappear (if its not on the same screen drag the watch icon to the side to move it to a different icons page)

Haha. Let me guess, Bono thought it was a good idea. ))
Bono, watch app, what is the next cramware are we going to be stuck with??
This is a user to user support forum, no one here from Apple. We are users like you. Feedback to Apple goes HERE, and then click on the appropriate link. As mentioned earlier, it is a native iOS app and cannot be deleted. Move it to a folder an to the last page of our phone where you do not have to see it.
I've followed this philosophy on both Android and iPhone. My iPhone has a special folder called iCrap that I drop such icons into...

So what do you call your Android Folder for similar useless Apps? 🙂

In this case, you installed it yourself. The Terms were pretty clear and the Apple Watch App was the FIRST thing mentioned and the first thing you would have seen before you chose to click 'Agree'. iOS8.2

Nothing because I only use iPhone now 😁

Yes, true. That's the reason why I was avoiding installing iOS 7 on my iPad 2. But unfortunately at some point apps will stop working (Facetime in my case), or they will force you to upgrade via incessant popups. I held off for as long as I could but then gave in... and the iPad became very sluggish to the point that I had to upgrade to the latest one. So that is how they make money )) Btw, this new iPad has to be charged every second day instead of once a week like my old iPad 2. So that's what those updates do...

Your battery issue is a separate issue. Take it to your nearest Apple Store.
