Panic report...

Hi all,

Have been experiencing panic reports recently; would be good to hear thought on possible reasons and solutions.

Have pasted one that just happened today below.

Many thanks.

Thanks OGELTHORPE

The plot thickens - seems my keyboard driver is the issue, which is 32 bit only, but I'm pretty sure my machine is running the 32 bit kernel as well (below).

Is there any issue to consider with me using the procedure here, to change the version to 32 bit on startup- i.e. machine performance etc?

Any advice greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

I think not. One of my Internet services requires 32 bit operation so when I use it, I boot the MBP holding the 2 + 3 keys when booting the MBP. I wait until I hear a 'boop, boop. boop' sound and then I release the keys. That wil almostl take you through the entire boot cycle.

I have never experienced any problems with this. Note that I do this with Lion as my OSX. It cannot be done with any later OSX. I should think this is not necessary if you are running Snow Leopard or earlier. At least i do not have to do this on my Snow Leopard MBP.

Ciao.
