How to open an autorun.inf file

Hi all, would really appreciate info on how to open a DVD Autorun.inf file containing 1.5 GB of PDF files.

It asks for Adobe reader (which is installed) but when I try to open the file it says..

'Adobe Reader could not open 'Autorun.inf' because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded).

I have changed tried adobe to open the file and also reverted back to preview but no go. I've just spent a lot of money on the file (journals)

from the US so would love to be able to access it.
Thanks muchly, 🙂

HI there, thanks so much for the quick reply. I basically wish to view the files (pdf copies of journals) for some research.

I realised just now that when I tried to 'open with'..it defaults to adobe reader, and when I search for preview as a preferred tool, it is not highlighted and therefore I can't click on it.

I've contacted the US company and they didn't seem to see a problem being on a mac, suggesting changing the default to preview. I guess now that is my main question, how to change that on this file?

Hope you can help.

Danielle 🙂
