Q: Unable to boot from 10.10.2 USB on Early 2015 Retina Macbook Pro
HELP!!! Unable to Boot from USB media
Just received a new Early 2015 MacBook Pro Retina 13" and wish to restore a standard image from USB drive. This works perfectly on our 2013 & 2014 MacBook Pro Retinas but I am unable to boot from my Yosemite 10.10.2 Install USB and then run Disk Utilities to restore our standard image. I get a black screen with white no entry symbol
After much trying with Mountain Lion, Mavericks, Yosemite 10.10.1 and 10.10.2 boot USBs I did a Alt + R Recovery boot and using Disk Utilites erased the disk and managed to re-image as normal. However on boot up again get black screen with white no entry symbol.
I have now done an internet recovery and re-install and low and behold the MacBook now has our image on!
I want to know how I can boot from 10.10.2 USB to reimage as normal without the 2 hour internet download....
MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Yosemite (10.10.2), 13" Retina
