ipad reboots during download

I'm running an 64GB iPad, third gen, iOS8.2. For about the past six months, when downloading a tv show or a movie, my iPad will reboot just before the download finishes. Once it comes back up, a message appears saying it was unable to complete the download. I try the download again and get the same result. I've also tried it attached to other wifi networks with similar results. It doesn't do it with music, just TV or movie, and it doesn't do it all the time. It seems it has a problem with certain shows. I've synced it, and rebooted it manually, to no avail. Any help would be appreciated.
