I did all the steps mentioned above and selected the printer which is available on the same network, when I request to print, by pressing ok,  I receive the following message : printer is no longer available.  Keeping in mind I can print properly from my laptop. Thanks for your help,

    What model printer?

     

    Is it connected by wireless to the network?

     

    What router are you using?

     

    The laptop is not forced to use airprint protocol.. the idevices can only natively print using airprint so the problem sounds like airprint is not functional.
