Q: Powerbook G4 with OS 10.4.11 run any apps?

I have a perfectly good Powerbook G4 running OS 10.4.11. Can it run any apps? Can the software be upgraded so it can?

1. Yes, generally older ones. Check MacUpdate.
2. That computer can be upgraded to 10.5.8.

I wouldn't recommend 10.5 on anything slower than 1 GHz. If you were using Classic Mode for any OS9 or earlier applications, that goes away in 10.5.

I have a 10.4/10.5 dual-boot powerbook, and the only features I really need 10.5 for are iTunes 10 (to sync with iOS 7 devices) and some other app (I can't recall) for mounting an Android device.

Aha--it's XMJB that's the app t0 mount Android devices on PPC. Doesn't work on 10.4.

I have a PB Pismo
PowerBook, OS X 10.4.11, G3/500-FireWire, 512MbRAM, 40Gb HD - 40 GB FW drive
runs as if they were new - which they were at the time - maybe not simultaneously
