I have a mid 2012 MacBook Pro with 2.9 GHz Intel Core i7 that is version OS X Yosemite 10.10.2 (14C1510) and 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 memory. I just received a large flashing message in Safari that said my computer is compromised and that I need to contact 1-800-986-6395 immediately before my files and personal info was stolen. It locked me out of any further Safari searches although I can access it now. I chose instead to re-run my Norton antivirus and contact the Apple Community before calling the number. Is is for real?
Mac Book, Mac OS X (10.6.2)
