Q: How much clearance space is allowed if any at all for the Macbook Pro Retina 13'' and 15'' 2013?
So I recently came across a new apple support page warning Macbook Pro Retina users to not use palm rests or keyboard covers which I'll have below
MacBook Pro with Retina display: Do not use palm rest or keycap covers - Apple Support
So after reading this, I've been making it a habit to take off my keyboard cover on my 2013 Retina Macbook Pro 15'' but it has been bugging me to find out if my palm rest protector is doing any damage.
I have this palm protector which doesn't specify dimensions or thickness but it is relatively thin
I also plan to get this screen protector:

and possibly this new keyboard cover which is 0.1mm thick
What I mostly want to find out is, are any of these products safe at all to use for the retina display? Most likely not the keyboard cover, which I do not mind taking off after use and closing my macbook, but how about my palm rest cover and a screen protector? Any insight on this would bring plenty of relief and would give me peace of mind considering I've had my retina Macbook Pro over 2 years and have been sheltering it like a new born since, to finding the article above which was posted less than a week ago.
Cheers!
