When connecting to MyLink (GM infotainment system) handsfree for calls working perfect, but no sound coming from the iphone or MyLink when whatsapp or any other app send notifications...

My car stereo only works in ipod/usb mode when the iphone is connected to the USB port of the stereo.
This issue seems to be related to iOS and not to my car stereo.
Not happening with my old iPhone 4S with iOS 7.xx
