rename bluetooth device

I know this is not possible now (without jailbreaking), but come on Apple.

When will we be able to rename a bluetooth device to something meaningful rather than what the manufacturer wants.?

I have multiple devices from the same manufacturer paired and it gets confusing as to which device to connect to.

This is 2015 after all.
