These are volunteer user-to-user forums, not official Apple support. You need to call Apple support or take the device into an Apple Store for service.

Mar 17, 2015 12:37 PM in response to poofmyphoneby Michael Black,It is rare, but not at all unheard of. Just about every manufacturer os smart phones, tablets, and laptops will have had a few battery events I'm sure. Call Apple and they'll tell you how to proceed.
