Hello All
My 2010 macbook pro will not start up. Pressing the power button, the startup chime sounds very softly. Then in a while chimes again, then in a while chimes again, etc etc. All the while…with a black screen.
I've tried resetting the PRAM (command+option+p+r). Tried holding shift. Tried holding option. Nothing works - except... holding t on powerup and having the macbook pro connected to another computer. It will show up as a hard drive on the other computer. And all my files are there. But - the screen on the macbook pro is still black.
Just before this happened, I went in a repaired all the disc permissions with the disc utility tool. It seemed to make a difference and was working much better.... then the above happened...
Anyone got any ideas? I would be very appreciative of any help.
