Q: how do i copy a single song to an ipod from a computer

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities. Adding just one song to a device is easy if you have the latest version of iTunes. The latest version of iTunes should have the option for Manually manage music and videos so all you would need to do, with your iPod shuffle plugged in, is drag and drop the song on top of your iPod shuffle.
