Q: i can not get my ear phones to work when they are plugged into my ipod nano

i got my ipod nano a year ago and just took it out the box, I downloaded some music to it yesterday and for some reason it will not play the usic through and earphones or cord in my car.

iPod nano, iOS 7.1.1

    If you're not hearing any audio from items plugged in to the headphone jack on your iPod nano, then please follow the information below.

     

    Acoustics

     

    Follow these steps if there's no sound coming from your headphones.*

    • Verify that the headset is plugged in to the iPod .
    • Check the volume setting.
    • Try adjusting the volume by pressing the volume buttons.
    • Try another song or audio file.
    • Try another headset.
    • Reset iPod by holding down the Sleep/Wake button and Home buttons until you see the Apple logo appear.

     

    Issue not resolved

    Push the headphone plug in until it will not go any further. Don't be afraid, just do it.
