no mounting any more

Should I be concerned about the fact that my Shuffle no longer shows it's icon when connected?

If your iPod shuffle is not appearing in iTunes, then I'd like you to please follow the troubleshooting steps in the link below.

Thanks for the reply.

What I should've said was that the icon the always had always appeared on the desktop (and did up until a week ago) doesn't appear any longer, though the one in iTunes still does. Should that be of concern?
