Mar 18, 2015 12:13 PM in response to yaharaladyby jazcan,When you open Settings->General->Usage...under storage select Manage Storage. That will show you exactly what apps are taking up the space on your iPad. Do you have a lot of emails? IMessages? Music? iBooks?

Mar 18, 2015 12:34 PM in response to yaharaladyby SergZak,Here's what I do in the event of incorrect/overbloated storage issues:
1. Connect your iPad to the PC and do a complete backup using iTunes (make sure you have a backup all music, etc as well)
2. Reset the iPad under Settings/General/Erase All Content and Settings (you'll need to disable Find My iPhone/iPad prior to doing this)
3. After the reset, the iPad will be as you took it out of the box. Go through whatever setup is required (follow the on-screen prompts) , then restore the iPad using the backup you made in step 1.
This will usually clear out any misreported storage space on the device.
Your iCloud storage space has nothing at all to do with the storage space on the device...increasing it won't increase the physical storage space on the device. See the following for more info. You can also downgrade your iCloud storage space as well.

Mar 18, 2015 2:59 PM in response to jazcanby yaharalady,I only have ibooks on icloud with audible, no music. 79MB of emails in the mail program. I have deleted most of my messages. Have about 7 small, couple sentence conversations. sThe apps don't add up to the amount of storage that is being used.
