I have also tried to download match with the same result- I also cannot find my recent purchase. although they do show on my existing windows pc---any ideas please or is there a fix on the way

OK, so you are running iTunes 12, correct? (8.1 is an iOS release number).

What is the error message you are getting when you try to Authorize the computer? What is the message you get when you try to download Match?

Are you signed into iTunes with the same Apple ID you made the purchases with? If so, then click on Purchased in the Quick Links section in the iTunes Store to see your purchases.

    Cheers,

Hi Gail, thanks for your answer..have found my purchases as you suggested..so thanks for that.I don't know how I did it but my mac is now authorised---also managed to get into match as well and everything downloaded apart from the last bit that is copying the art work which is taking an age, is that normal?

    Depends on:

How much music you have in your library that needs artwork downloaded

How fast your internet connection is

What you mean by an age

If it seems to be hung up, then cancel it. You can always "Get Album Artwork" later.

    Cheers,

You can  simply copy the entire /Music/iTunes/ folder from old computer to /Music/ on new computer.

Then the libraries on both computers will be identical. Nothing will need to be downloaded.

See this -> How to move your iTunes library to a new computer - Apple Support
