Q: Mac/Screen won't turn on

i tried to turn the computer on, it made the chime and I can hear the fan running. The screen came on once and asked me to change my password. I followed the steps, then it restarted and won't turn on. It was dead when I first tried to use it, but it's been charging for about an hour now. It worked yesterday when I tried to turn it on.
