Eclipse Fit Clip MP3 Player Won't Show Up On Laptop

Hey everybody. I have a bit of a problem, and I have been looking throughout the internet for a solution all night, but alas, nothing. I have an Eclipse Fit Clip MP3 player, and it has connected to my Macbook Air lots of times before, and I put some of my music on it. Recently, I have acquired a taste for some new music, so when I went to swap out some songs and plugged the USB cord in, the device said it was charging, but Finder didn't show anything. This is extremely confusing, since it was loading properly before. I honestly don't know what to do, and I really hope someone here will help me out. Thank you all sosososo much!

Try resetting the SMC Intel-based Macs: Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC) - Apple Support

Also try opening System Profiler and looking at the USB tab, does the MP3 player show up there? What about in Disk Utility?

If it doesn't show up in SP or DU I would try another USB cable and try another USB port. If it still doesn't appear it might need to be reformatted or it may be failing.
