Cannot Quit iTunes

Model Name: MacBook Pro

Model Identifier: MacBookPro10,1

Processor Name: Intel Core i7

Processor Speed: 2.7 GHz

Number of Processors: 1

Total Number of Cores: 4

L2 Cache (per Core): 256 KB

L3 Cache: 8 MB

Memory: 16 GB

Boot ROM Version: MBP101.00EE.B07

Yosemite 10.10.3

When I open iTunes, i immediately quit iTunes, it never quits, becomes unresponsive.

I can also open iTunes, not quit it, and just play a song, but after the song or shortly after opening I get the same results.

I can open a new fresh library, same results.

I have deleted my preferences, removed my library, tried all sorts of tips and solutions from the forum, but none work. I am pretty sure one of the frameworks is bad or missing or corrupted?¿? If i open iTunes this is what my console log spits out.

Hi Zurie,

Thank you for participating in the Apple Support Communities.

It sounds like iTunes is becoming unresponsive at launch or after playing a few songs. You've tried several good steps to troubleshoot the situation.

If you haven't already, I'd recommend reinstalling iTunes next:

download iTunes from the Apple website.

If iTunes is still unresponsive after this, test in a new user account to see if the same thing happens. If it occurs in a new user, try Safe Mode next:

Follow this article to start up in Safe Mode. If the issue does not occur in Safe Mode, there may be login items or third party kernel extensions causing the issue.

The information quoted above appears in this troubleshooting article:

iTunes: May become unresponsive when connecting iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

All the best,

Jeremy

The latest DEV update for Apple 10.10.3 (14D105g) apparently fixed it? that or something in System Update fixed it. Bummer because I really would like to know what the issue was and what was fixed but whatever it was things seem to work ok for now. I can Quit iTunes and it instantly quits, as well as plays songs without beach balling.

I guess i spoke too soon. Unfortunately the issue is back in full force. Updating to the newest system didn't change that. I just thought it did because I literally have a 30 second window where if i open iTunes and quit iTunes its responsive. but once a song starts playing, 1 minute in I get a beachball forever until i force quit it.
