Q: what happens when i reset? do I lose any data?

what happens when i reset? do I lose any data? or is there any chance of losing data?

If you mean the "Press the Home and Power buttons at the same time" type of reset, then no, you do not lose anything. It's basically the same process that a computer goes through when you restart it.

 

You do, however, want to make sure that you always have a current backup on iCloud or iTunes.
