Q: How to identify if my machine has dedicated gpu?

All the 15-inch MacBook Pro's have dedicated GPU's on them. To find the specific model, click the Apple logo on the top left of your screen, go to "About This Mac" then click on displays. There you will see information regarding the GPU your MacBook Pro has.

Open System Information>Graphics/Displays.  It will show exactly what GPU(s) your MBP has.
