Getting message on Ipad which states "This accessory may not be supported". I am using original equipment that came with Ipad. Any ideas

It sounds like you are getting a message saying that your USB is not supported. I would recommend that you use hte troubleshooting in the following article:

Try a reset by holding the power and home keys down until the Apple logo appears.
