Q: Macbook pro trackpad being glitchy and not working.

Hi,

My MacBook Pro 13in non retina's track pad is not working properly. The mouse on the screen will act really jumpy and at times only allow me to click. Does anyone know what I should do?

I have done a safe reboot and that has only helped for 10 seconds.

In addition, a thorough cleaning of the trackpad will sometimes restore functionality.

Open the MBP and examine the battery to see if it had expanded. It resides under the trackpad and may be interfering with its the operation. If so, replace the battery.
