How to take Mac Mini 10.5 back to factory setting and reinstallation

How to take Mac Mini 10.5 back to factory setting and reinstallation. I have printed off the instructions - followed U tube but still cant get the start up to bring up the recovery menu - anyone please give me ideas. I have just purchased new Mac Mini Yosemite and want to give the other to my grandaughter - wondered if it had something to do with my keyboard which is a Logitch Classic Keyboard 200 - assistance please.

Insert the DVD you'll be using and restart with the C or Option key held down. It isn't possible to install 10.6.8 or earlier without a DVD.

thank yo so much Niel - I do still have the original DVD's and tried restarting whilst holding down the C key - I assumed the windows key is the option one on the logitech keyboard - will give it another go - many thanks.
