iOS 8.2 Message Problem

Is anyone else having issues with messages after updating to iOS 8.2 or did my carrier just send me another garbage "certified new" phone?

Ever since I updated to the new iOS (however, I never got to use the previous iOS on this phone) I have had problem with Messages. I am unable to delete any texts (regular or iMessage) anyway that I try. When I delete a text and go back into Messages, none of my texts are loaded and the "Create New Message" window pops up, but my contacts aren't synced when I try to type in a contact. Also, if I go into Settings and try to get into the Messages settings, that takes a long time to open as well. I have to restart my phone to get Messages to work properly again and when I open Messages back up, the text I deleted is back!

I'm just wondering if this is an iOS problem or a phone problem, for a person who doesn't like clutter, not being able to delete your messages is frustrating.

Hello bones0724,

It seems your device is experiencing various issues. To rectify this issue you may want to consider performing a restore on the device, and then restoring your data from a backup via iCloud or iTunes.

If the issue persists after restoring your backup, you would then want to consider restoring the device and setting it up as new. Below I have linked to article which offers guidance on both of these restore methods:

I have the same problem. Tried to contact with Apple Support and they also don't know how to solve this problem but reset and install everything from beginning. Even though it doesn't helps anything. So far so good, I have to keep all my messages to be able to send/receive message normally. I hope Apple' engineers can fix this problem a.s.a.p. Very frustrating.
