Q: Apple TV Kicks back to home screen and its not my network!

I am losing my patience with the Apple TV.

My setup is WIFI with two Apple TV 3s latest firmware.   Signal strength is good to the router.   The issue is that I will be playing a movie from my hard drive and the Apple TV will just stop with no error and kick back home screen as if someone pressed stopped on the Itunes device. There is no evidence of lost network connection to the WIFI.  It doesn’t matter if the device sending Air Play is Windows, Mac, Ipad or my Iphone 6 . I would say during a 45 minute episode of steaming to it I will drop at least twice twice.  Starts right back up when I hit play again on Itunes (or the Iphone).

I am an IT guy and have checked everything.  Different WIFI routers, channels, etc.  No other devices in the home have a problem with WIFI.    Its solid as can be.   One of the PCs is hard wired and that doesn't make a difference either.   The only thing I have not tried is running Cat-5/6 right to the Apple TV but that seems like a cover up to another problem and is considerable effort to get cables to their location.    I never have problems streaming Amazon to Roku or any other TV apps.

I see a lot of people posting “it must be something with your WIFI or network”  I can tell you with 100% certainty, it is not.

Any outside the box suggestions would be appreciated.
