I'm having an issue using the content editable fields in the epub. For some reason the content editable doesn't seem to work on iBooks for Mac OS.
This is what I'm using in the html file.
<p contenteditable="true"> </p>
And when I open the epub on iBooks on MacOS it doesn't allow me to type anything in there.
Can someone help to fix this?

The below script will enable the content editable attribute in Mac systems. Tested, working fine.
$(selector).observe('touchstart', function(event) {
var element = event.element();
if (element.disabled)
element.disabled = false;
element.focus();
event.stop();
});
Was the epub manual created? I dont know if this will be the issue, but what is the doctype?
I might try to test it myself to find out.
According to what I read editable content is not allowed by iBooks, an internal script automatically disable editable content (BKContentCleanup.js). There may be ways to go round that though.
