iTunes deleting songs from Iphone 5 by itself

When putting songs from iTunes or my music folder, they seem to appear initially but then disappear when I try to play them back. Each song has the circle icon with the explantion mark in it also. Does anyone know why this is?

iPhone 5, iOS 8.2

Do you still have this problem? If not, what was your fix? iPhone 5C running iOS 10, i'm having the same issue. I keep restoring my phone and now it gets stuck syncing. **** apple. I've had it with their bugs. I'm definitely switching to Android. It's infuriating..
