my desktop G5 has a black screen after start up
my G5 starts up but has a black screen. I need to get some files off the desktop and harddrive. How would I go about doing that?
iMac PowerPC G5, Mac OS X (10.4.5)
Do you have another Mac with Firewire & a FW cable?
If you have another Mac with Firewire & a FW cable, boot this G5 into Target mode, holding t key down...

This G5 should show up as a FW Drive on the other Mac.
