Lately my emails have been bouncing back from various of my friend's accounts- in the past there was never a problem. It's not my server - my fear is I have some bug and their firewall is rejecting me. How can I find out what the problem is?
What does the bounce notice say, exactly? It should give you some idea as to why the message was rejected.
It says account blocked. But this is some one I do business with and friendly with. They wouldn't block me.
Is that all that it says? There must be more to the message than that.
There is code which I don't understand. " SMTP error from remote mail server after end of data host mailchannels-Ib-2-364402916.us-west-2.elb.amazonaws.com."
Either the receiving mail host interpreted your email as spam, or your mail host or ISP has been blacklisted.
Because this is a new development - what would make my account to appear to be spam and how do I make that stop?
And if I am blacklisted- how do I reverse that situation.
If the email contains too many spammy words or phrases, they might think it's spam. Don't write email that looks like spam...
You are not blacklisted. Your email provider or ISP is. Contact them. They will have to remedy the situation.
