MacBook Pro Mid 2010

This might well not be the best place to pose this question but then again I am guessing there will be both Logic Users and Mainstage Users who have taken the route of installing a SSD upgrade. I have in mind to upgrade my MacBook Pro Mid 2010 to a SSD namely the Samsung 850 Pro 512GB SSD, has anyone here done this and is there anything I should be aware of prior to choosing a SSD for this laptop, the Samsung seems to be the choice of many who are using media heavy read write tasks and I believe the Samsung SSD drives are the choice of the current range of Apple Laptops.

Any advise along this subject welcome ! 🙂
