Q: External screens go black for seconds and then die.
Hello, I own a MacBook pro 15" Mid 2014 to which I attach two external monitors.
One of the monitors is connected via thunderbolt to DVI Adaptor while the other is connected via HDMI.
Yesterday I was using the whole rig for some hours when the external monitors started behave faulty.
At the beginning they just stopped displaying for some seconds but after a while the thunderbolt connected one died
and the HDMI did so some minutes later.
It behaved as if the computer couldn't handle that much work for the given amount of time, which is a bit disappointing for such an ultra-book.
When I Disconnected both monitors I noted that the laptop was a bit warm and the fans had started working.
During the previous hours I had just been surfing the web and downloading some data, no extra graphics stress at all...
Is this normal? Should I worry about this? Anyone has experienced this kind of issues?
Thank you very much indeed.
