Q: Apps Not Downloading

Hi all,

So I went onto the app store to download a weather app, and when I clicked to download it, i typed in my password and everything. It appeared on my home screen, as waiting, so I went into my texting app for a minute. When I came back out, it was no longer there. I then went into the app store to try to redownload it, but every time I press the download button, it doesn't do anything. My iTunes was not working a minute before too, so anyway that could be related. I have already tried restarting it. Any advice?

Hi ametzger113,

It sounds like the App Store on your phone isnt working correctly on an iOS device when you try to download an app. I would quit the App Store first:

iOS: Force an app to close
Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.

Then sign out of your account in settings here:

Sign in with a different Apple ID on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Tap Settings > iTunes & App Store.
Tap your Apple ID. If you see the option to Sign In, you can change your Apple ID now.
Tap Sign Out.

When you have done that restart the device and test the issue again:

iOS: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting
