New Airport Extreme not recognizing laptop

Just replaced our Airport Extreme and things seem to be fine with our "main computer" (iMac, OS X 10.8.5) - Mail, internet and printer working fine. Our laptop (Mac Book OS X 10.6.8) has dropped out of the network - can't print, and Mail and Safari not working. How do I get the laptop back?

Good Morning margaretfromdavis,

I understand you are having trouble connecting to your wireless network with your new Airport Extreme and your MacBook, which is running Snow Leopard.

The resource below will help you troubleshoot this issue. Initially, you can plug an ethernet cable into the laptop to establish a wired connection to the internet. Then try the Wi-Fi.

The article also suggests updating your operating system, which I would recommend.
