how can I print a list of books and authors in my iBooks listing

You can do this with Phoneview, http://www.ecamm.com/mac/phoneview/ . Use iTunes to sync all books in the iBooks library to your iOS device; open Phoneview; go to Books in the sidebar; print. This will give a list of all books with author (headed 'artist'); category (headed 'album') and title. This can be ordered alphabetically by any of the three columns.

However I have found no way to print a list of the iBooks library on a Mac despite some searching; this remains a missing feature of iBooks.

if it all fits on a screen you try taking a screenshot of it. printing from the list of titles isn't possible.
