Q: MBP (early 2015) screen distortion while launching into SafeBoot

I have with me a brand new Early-2015 Macbook Pro (13.3").

When I try to enter SafeBoot on the computer, before getting into Safe Mode the screen graphics start to malfunction- Horizontal 'blinds-like' black panels start appearing on the screen and flows upwards like a wave, sort of like a computer experiencing static but instead of grey buzz, it's black horizontal panels flowing upwards.

It then settles within 10 seconds (which is more than long enough to scare me) and shows me the login page. Upon shut down, the screen does the same thing, panels start appearing and flowing upwards for a while before the machine completely shuts down.

Is anyone experiencing this? I have already brought this issue up to Apple (first time it happened I had to do a return and got sent a replacement, and now the replacement is also experiencing the same thing). I suspect it's a batch problem.

Also, the volume is especially low- compared to the first unit, the volume on this machine is significantly softer. to hear anything decent, you have to amp it up above the halfway mark on the volume level.

Kinda ***** because this is my first Mac. And the fact that it's brand new.

MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Early 2015), null
