13" rMBP early 2015, keyboard and trackpad unresponsive. Any ideas?

Hi all

I recently bought a 13" early 2015 rMBP. When at home, I usually use a wireless keyboard and mouse, but when out I use the inbuilt keyboard and trackpad.

All was going well until I tried to use the trackpad and keyboard today and realised that both were not working. The only thing that works is the power button on the keyboard.

I have tried to reset the PRAM and SMC as others have suggested elsewhere, but this has not solved the issue.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Kind Regards

Noah

For anyone else following this thread, the issue resolved itself of its own accord. The keyboard and trackpad work again.

However, the Apple Care Employees I was chatting to suggested I take it to NextByte (there unfortunately is not an Apple Store where I live), and they ran some tests and told me to return it as it was "DOA".

Called Apple and they were extremely helpful in sorting out a replacement unit at a priority.

Despite the fact that I've had to do some running around and it will be a pain to set up a new computer again, I can't really complain with that level of customer service.
