Previously used parallels and had windows version of office including word - now I have microsoft office 2011 for mac but whenever I tell applescript to activate micorsoft word i get a message telling me it is on a virtual drive and cannot be found - I cannot find any resource on the net indicating how to redirect applescript to the appropriate application

Thanks a lot. I can certainly reference the appropriate version of word like this. I think that should allow me to do everything I want.
There must be some way of eradicating the link between applescript & the old version of the application - I wonder how to do that?
Although I do not have Parallels installed, I would look in its settings (coherence?), or in your System Preferences : Users & Groups : Login Items as the source of the redirection.
Good suggestions - I looked but I can't see any switches relevant - I've already tried uninstalling office suite from the windows parallels version but no effect.
