Invasive screenshots found after hard drive scanning

I have an old macbook and decided to recover all the information off it before I disposed of it. I almost died when I found 100,000+ screenshots of every single page I ever visited online including messages on private platforms. Is this normal? Did my old macbook have a virus and if so which one was it? Does this new mac I'm typing on does the same invasive screenshotting?
