Imac doesn't restart after installation of OS X Yosemite

AFter downloading and installing OS X Yosemite on my iMac, the system doesn't restart. It blocks at about half of the bar below the apple. Any ideas on how to reboot?

Personally I would try in Recovery mode...OS X: About OS X Recovery - Apple Support
