Caldigit T3 when power off, turning off all the system!

Hello,

I tried to press and hold power button of thunderbolt external drive Caldigit T3, but I was also turned off the system without logoff!!

I would like to turn off the drive separately from the system, it is possible?

Anyone can help me?

Thank you.

Alex.

My system info:

Mac Pro (late 2013)

Yosemite - 10.10.2

No other hd drive

After you eject the drive the unplug the TB cable and then you can safely power off the TB drive.

There are other discussions on this problem that was introduced in 10.10 or 10.10.10, I do not remember which
